1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how PrintMaker AI LLC (“PrintMakerAI”, “we”, “us”), a Rhode Island limited liability company, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the PrintMakerAI service (the “Service”). By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account data: When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name through our authentication provider (Clerk).
User content: We store the text prompts you submit, the 3D geometry and project files generated from them, and any saved designs in your library, linked to your account.
Usage data: We collect server-side telemetry including IP address, user agent, request timestamps, generation history, and feature usage events to operate the Service, prevent abuse, and improve the product. Aggregated and anonymized analytics may be derived from this data.
Payment data: Payment information is processed exclusively by Stripe. PrintMaker AI LLC does not store card numbers, CVVs, or any other full payment instrument data on our systems. We retain your Stripe customer ID to manage your subscription and billing history.
Communications: When you email us at support@, legal@, billing@, abuse@, or [email protected], we retain your message, your email address, and any attachments you send so we can respond and maintain a record of the correspondence. Support and compliance correspondence is hosted by Google Workspace.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Providing and operating the Service
- Processing payments and tax compliance
- Customer support
- Security, fraud prevention, and abuse mitigation
- Legal and regulatory compliance
- Service improvement using aggregated and anonymized data only
4. How We Do Not Use Information
PrintMaker AI LLC does not use your prompts, generated geometry, or project files to train machine learning models. Your content is sent to our AI service providers (listed in §5) solely for the purpose of processing your immediate request and is not retained by those providers for training purposes under the terms of our service agreements with them.
5. Sub-Processors
We rely on the following sub-processors to operate the Service. Each operates under its own privacy policy and data-processing terms, and we share only the minimum data necessary for each service to function.
- Anthropic— AI model provider (Claude)
- Clerk— authentication and identity management
- Stripe— payment processing
- TaxJar— sales tax calculation
- Railway— application hosting
- Modal— compute sandbox for geometry generation
- Cloudflare— DNS, CDN, and DDoS protection
- Google Workspace — business email
6. Data Retention
- Account data: for the life of the account.
- Generation history and project files: for the life of the account plus 90 days after account deletion.
- Backup copies: up to 30 days beyond deletion.
- Billing and tax records: 7 years, per Internal Revenue Service recordkeeping requirements.
7. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to request the following with respect to your personal data:
- Access to the personal data we hold about you
- Correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion of your account and associated data
- Data portability (export of your generated models)
- Opt-out of marketing communications
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
EU and UK residents have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

8. International Transfers
Your information is processed and stored in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, and by using the Service you consent to that transfer.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to, and is not intended for, individuals under 16 years of age. PrintMaker AI LLC does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will take steps to promptly delete that information.
10. Security
We maintain reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encrypted connections (TLS), secure authentication (Clerk), and PCI-compliant payment processing (Stripe). However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is perfectly secure, and you are responsible for safeguarding the credentials used to access your account.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you via email and/or an in-app notification with at least 14 days' notice before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
